Venue
Cheshire Agricultural Showground, Tabley, Nr Knutsford. The site is 5 minutes from junction 19, M6.
It’s for You
Chamboree 2010 looks forward to welcoming members of the Scout and Guide
movements from around the world aged 10½ - 18 with their Adult Leaders and Helpers.
You can expect to be amongst 3000+ campers from Cheshire, around the UK and from
various parts of the World. On the first weekend numbers will be swelled as we welcome
Cub Scouts from the local area (limited places are available for UK Cub Scouts from
outside Cheshire). Beavers from Cheshire will join the camp for one day on
Sunday 1st August.
Dates
The site will open for Chamboree campers on Saturday 31st July 2010 and close on
Saturday 7th August 2010. Our “opening ceremony” will be held in the evening of
Saturday 31st July and the closing ceremony will be held on Friday evening (6th August) The site will open for Cubs on Friday 30th July and there will be an opportunity for all
local Groups to pitch tents on Thursday 29th July.

Activities
You can expect an exciting package of activities at Chamboree including one day off-site
at our water activities centre in the grounds of Tatton Park (about 15 minutes from the
Chamboree site). Back on-site there will be a range of challenging, exciting and unusual
activities to keep you motivated. Check the website for latest details. There will also be a
full programme of evening activities including live bands, disco’s and special challenges.
Equipment
Each Group is expected to provide all its own tents and equipment. Cooking must be
done on gas stoves only - open fires are not permitted.
